Despite submitting their claims in mid-March, many people in SW Washington and Oregon have yet to receive a single penny from their state or federal CARES $600 unemployment benefit. How was my client able to get through to a live unemployment representative within 10 minutes while others called over 300 times a day for week after week with no success? You’re about to find out!
After calling for weeks with a busy signal, this Oregon resident switched it up; instead of calling the main unemployment number, they called an Employment Division office in Astoria, Oregon and got through to a live person after just 10 minutes. The unemployment representative was extremely helpful and now this client has received all of their back-unemployment money for 12 weeks for both the state and federal unemployment. This is a lifesaver for them.
Don’t continue to call the main general number for the unemployment department, hang up and call a different Employment Division office in the state!
